MOUSE (Making Opportunities for Upgrading Schools & Educations)
Technology Addressing the digital divide in urban public schools.
As technology becomes exceedingly important in education and the workplace, it is the students in underserved schools that fall victim to the digital divide. To combat this inequality, a NYC-based organization, MOUSE.org, is training these students to manage technology in their schools. In so doing, the children gain the skills they need to succeed in our digital society – not just in New York City, but in schools worldwide.
We visited schools, interviewing students and educators impacted by MOUSE’s work, to produce a video that tells the organization’s story in the words of those it has served. The video was a finalist for the Nonprofit Technology Network's “Best Nonprofit Video” award.
Creating opportunities through technology for underserved students worldwide.
